Can you see me here,
Dying inside,
Alone in the world
With no where to hide?

I scream.
I shout.
I cry.
And I stress.
Now, tell me:
What was this all about?

I'm careless
I'm stupid,
Yet I really don't care.
These feelings have trapped me
Right under there.

Sighing
Crying
Burning
And
Cutting

Is this how I want to live?
I do not believe so.
It hurts.
It burns
But can I stop?
No, I'm at the point of no return.

I'd like to feel worthy,
Not hideous and stupid
I want to know
I'm not alone
In this fight with the end.

Rune Hunter

Note: This is just the beginning of a story... I notice that I still have a lot to work on. For now I'm just structuring the characters and setting. Here's the very beginning though!

"Burning. Fire. Where are my parents? Help. Who... What is that...?" Eibru jumped from his rest. A dream-no-a flashback of the fire that had struck his home in Isdrea years ago. It had reared its ugly head once more. He looked to his left. His brother, Kaiyo, was still soundly asleep on his cot. Eibru swung his heavy legs over the side of his own straw bed. Sighing, he stood up and walked out to the forest behind their shack. He looked up into the vast stars above, wondering why his dreams tormented him so much. To his right was a tree stump that his brother had turned into a seat. He sat gingerly down, breathing in the refreshing scent of the wilderness.

A slight breeze restled the grand forest. His hair glowed under the light of the celestial body. If it weren't for his shockingly bright, sun-kissed yellow eyes and stark white hair, he would be invisible to the night crawlers. Another rustle. His long pointed ears tuned right into the origin of the noise. Quickly, he grabbed his bow and as silent as a tiger stalking its prey, he fired an arrow at the bush behind where he was seated just moments before. No sound was emitting from the bush anymore. He crept slowly and cautiously to see what he had shot. He snickered, proud to see that he had shot the being square in the forehead, and it's five eyes were rolled to the back of its head. Though proud of this moment, he quickly became hyper-vigilant; what he had shot was one of Emperor Lear's night crawlers. The dark creature had come to finish the job of killing the last of the rebel family. Eibru picked up the wretched being with disgust, minding the razor-sharp, poisonous spikes on its back. He blessed the poor crawler with some holy water he had taken from the Academy at Desmynd, and laid the creature to rest in a proper burial.

Giving Love A Chance

Note: This may or may not become a project I'm going to work on. For now, I'm just working on different writing styles. I'll put up the first page of my other story here as well.

Sighing, she turned over onto her side and opened her eyes lazily. The sun was blocked by a figure lying next to her, sound asleep. She slowly moved a bit closer to the figure, nuzzling her face into its chest gently. It was the one person she wanted to spend eternity with. She could hear him breathing, it was so calming to her. Tracing his chest with her finger, she couldn’t help but think about how much she had fallen for him. Tenderly, she kissed his chest and closed her eyes once more. She heard him stir a bit and felt him pull her close in silence. It seemed like the moment would drag on forever.
“Good morning, you,” she said sweetly, looking up at him.
“Good morning, Selena. How did you sleep?” he responded, looking down at her hazily. She moved up and kissed him on the lips gently.
“I slept wonderfully. How about you, baby?”
“Pretty good if you ask me,” he stated while slowly sitting up. His bare chest shimmered in the light as he turned away; his hair was a mess. Selena sat up behind him, running her hands down his chest slowly, holding him close. He felt his face begin to turn a bit warm, and tried to hide his face in his hands.
“I love you so much... I can’t even express it in words, Darian. I’m just so happy you’re here... You’re real. You make my days worth it,” she whispered against the nape of his neck, blushing bright red. Her shirt seemed tight all of a sudden, and her bare legs cold.
He turned to look her in the eyes. He stared, eyes full of love and wonder, and replied, “I love you more than words could possibly begin to explain, baby. You are my world, my universe...”
He grabbed her shoulders and pulled her close for a deep, loving kiss. He pulled back, and they both gasped for air. It had always been this tense between the two; this new day was no exception. He finally got up and stretched, pulling his arms above his head and letting out a long yawn. Rubbing his eyes, he walked to the bathroom. He started a shower, letting the water warm up, and looked into the mirror. He smiled and shook his head. He was so happy to be alive.
Selena stayed in the room for a bit longer, trying to wake up. Finally, she got out of their bed and walked lazily to their shared closet. As she grabbed some lounge shorts, she thought to herself, “What an amazing person I have in my life... I can’t believe I deserve such an amazing person like him.”
She walked into the kitchen and decided to make breakfast; she was in an incredibly chipper mood that morning. She made scrambled eggs, some toast, and bacon. When all the food was done cooking, she placed it on the table for them to eat together.
“Darian! Breakfast is ready!” she called lovingly with a ring in her voice.
“I’ll be there in a second!” He shouted back to her as he wrapped himself in a towel. Still in only a towel, he walked into the kitchen, where he saw the table set up with two plates, and his girl sitting on the other side, who was blushing a light shade of red.
“I.. I made us breakfast!” she exclaimed, excitedly. He nodded and sat down across from her, digging in.
“This is great, babe,” he said with a smile on his face.
